Recruitment to Clerical Cadre in Associate Banks of SBI

State Bank of India(SBI) clerk recruitment has been announced.Though the posts are in SBI associate banks, they are still a part of the State bank group.State Bank of India is India`s largest public sector bank with administrative office in Mumbai.As part of the 2012 recruitment project, the 5 associate banks have come together to fill clerical leval posts.

Bank may conduct written test on more than two dates, if need be.

Educational Qualification (as on 01.08.2012):
i) Minimum 12th Standard (10 + 2) pass or equivalent qualification with a minimum of aggregate 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS). OR
ii) A degree (Graduation level) from a recognised university.

Age: (As on 01.08.2012):
 Minimum Age : 18 years ; Maximum Age: 28 years (as on 01.08.2012). Candidates born not earlier than 02.08.1984 and not later than 01.08.1994, both days inclusive are only eligible to apply.

Selection procedure:

As part of the SBI associate bank`s recruitment process Written test & Interview are to be conducted.The written test consists only of Objective type questions under the sections,
General awareness, General english, Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning & Marketing aptitude/ Computer Knowledge.
While the bank shall decide qualifying marks, registrants must pass in each section.For every wrong answer – 0.25 would be reduced as negative mark

For the purpose of holding interviews, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3 based on the minimum score fixed.

Union bank of India specialist officers Recruitment

Union bank of India has announced to recruiting specialist officers.

Positions Vacant:  

Although there are 598 seats to be filled, scale I grade postings are,

* Asst. manager (technical) – 41 posts
* Personnel officer – 9 posts
* Rajbhasha adhikari – 18 posts
* Rural development officer – 100 posts

Written exam (for higher scales) on 2012 Oct 07

Eligibility conditions:

For scale I posts,
  • The agelimit is min. 21 & max.35 yrs, as on Dec 1, 2011
  • Educational qualifications are similar to those mentioned by IBPS for specialist CWE registrations
  • Certificate in computer awareness & office automation is reqd. (not necessary for those who have studied computers in UG/PG level)
  • Candidate should have appeared for the IBPS common exam & posses a valid score card.
Since there is no minimum TWS score specified for these posts, all qualifiers become eligible to apply.

Selection process:

For certain scale II posts, written test could be conducted but scale I applicants will be shortlisted for a group discussion or psychometric test that will be followed by personal interviews.
Psychometric test, if arranged would be an online test containing questions about few scenarios.Your answers will help the bank to asses your qualities such as leadership & team building.Those securing the minimum marks will qualify for the next stage.
While GD & Interviews carry 50 marks each, the pass percentage is fixed at 50% (45% for sc/st/obc/ pwd)


Interested candidates must visit any branch of union bank of India to pay Rs.100 (gen/obc) or Rs.20 (others).This amount should be paid only in cash before July 31 using the challan attached with the notification.

Oriental bank of Commerce P.O & Agriculture Officers Recruitment

Oriental bank of Commerce (OBC)  will start its recruitment process for filling up Probationary Officers (PO), Agriculture officers under specialist cadre.


1) Probationary officer – 325 posts 
2) Agriculture officer – 100 posts

Eligibility Conditions:

Scale I officer (PO)
  • min.21 yrs & max. 30 yrs of age as on July 1, 2011
  • Should be a graduate
  • Total score in IBPS exam (TWS): 120 with 24 in each section (Gen) & 105 with 21 section-wise (others)
Agriculture officer (Specialist)
  • Aged between 21-30 yrs, as on Dec 1, 2011
  • Must have degree in agriculture or related subjects
  • To have cleared IBPS specialist officer exam with TWS score of 112 (gen) & 104 (sc/st/obc/pwd)
Candidates holding scorecards of PO & sp.officer CWE & looking to apply for both posts can do so by submitting individual applications.
